SE Ranking Review (2026): An All-in-One SEO Platform Built for Google and AI Search
A researched SE Ranking review: rank tracking, audits, backlinks, AI search tracking and content tools, plus current Core and Growth pricing and the 14-day trial.

SE Ranking has long been the "sensible" choice among SEO suites: a full set of rank tracking, research and audit tools at a lower price than the biggest names. In 2026 the platform has also moved hard into GEO (generative engine optimization). Alongside classic Google tracking, it now tracks how brands show up in AI answers such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews.
This review is based on SE Ranking's official plan, feature and help pages, checked in October 2026. We haven't yet used SE Ranking on our own projects for this review, so there are no invented rankings or screenshots.
What is SE Ranking?
SE Ranking is a web-based SEO and GEO platform for marketing teams, agencies and site owners. In one account it covers:
- Rank tracking across major search engines, including Google Top 100 tracking and Share of Voice.
- Keyword, competitor and backlink research, which SE Ranking describes as unlimited on its plans.
- Website and on-page audits, plus an on-page checker and SERP analyzer.
- AI search (GEO) tracking: daily prompts tracked across LLMs, AI source tracking and AI competitive research.
- Content marketing tools: Content Editor, AI Writer, Content Idea Finder and Content Planner.
- Local marketing: local and map rank tracking, plus listing management across 100+ directories.
- Integrations and API: Looker Studio (Data Studio), Matomo, GA4 and Google Search Console, plus an MCP server and research API credits.
Key features in more detail
Rank tracking and research
Rank tracking is still the core of SE Ranking. Core includes 2,000 keywords tracked daily and Growth includes 5,000, with extra keywords available. Research tools cover keywords, competitors and backlinks. Historical data is limited to 6 months on Core and covers all time on Growth, which matters if you want long-term trend reports.
Website audit
Core audits up to 250,000 pages per month and Growth up to 2 million, with a cap per project. For a niche site or a small business, the Core limits are far more than enough. Growth adds page changes monitoring.
AI search and GEO
This is the newest part of the platform. Core tracks 100 prompts per day and Growth 250, across 5 LLMs, with AI competitive research for 5 or 15 domains. An optional AI Search add-on extends tracking to AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and ChatGPT, plus a brand-mention and sentiment dashboard.
Content marketing
The Content Editor analyses top-ranking pages and builds a brief: word count, keywords (including NLP terms), structure and questions. It then scores your draft in real time. The AI Writer can generate a full article from a keyword, either through a step-by-step wizard or in one click, and includes grammar, plagiarism and readability checks. Core includes 25 content-marketing articles per month and Growth includes 50; extra articles are sold separately.
One detail worth knowing: according to SE Ranking's help centre, the Content Editor fully supports English, French, German, Dutch (without NLP), Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish.

SE Ranking currently has two self-serve plans and an Enterprise option. Prices below are the USD prices shown on the official subscription page. The page shows local currency in some regions (we saw EUR from Spain), so check what it shows you.

Trial, cancellation and refunds
- 14-day free trial, which SE Ranking describes as fully functional, with starter limits (10 projects, 750 tracked keywords per day, 20 AI prompts per day).
- You can cancel at any time.
- Payments are non-refundable except where the service wasn't delivered as promised, so use the trial before you pay.

Who SE Ranking is a good fit for
- Site owners and bloggers who want one tool for tracking, audits, research and content briefs instead of three subscriptions.
- Small agencies and freelancers. Growth's 30 projects and 3 seats, plus the Agency Pack, are built for client work.
- Teams preparing for AI search that want to track AI visibility next to classic rankings.
- Local businesses, such as shops, clinics and travel agencies, that need local rank tracking and listing management.
It's less suited to someone who only needs an AI writer. A dedicated content tool will be cheaper (see our NeuronWriter review).

Our verdict (researched, not yet hands-on)
SE Ranking offers a complete SEO and AI-visibility toolkit at a mid-market price. For anyone running a few sites, or a small agency, the Core plan covers most day-to-day SEO work. The no-refund policy makes the 14-day trial the sensible first step: set up a real project, run an audit and track your keywords before deciding.
